| | The Boathouse Cottage is an oceanfront
escape nestled on the shore of Eagle Head Bay, at the end of Eagle Head Wharf
Road. Built in 2004, the Cottage is styled after the small camps, fish
shacks, and simple homes that used to dot the shorefront in this
fishing community. From the post and beam frame to the exposed pine
walls, the Cottage comes from rural roots, but the amenities are far from
rustic. It offers a full kitchen and bath, one bedroom
(double bed), woodstove for those cool nights, fabulous front deck, and
comfortable furnishings. And did we mention the view?
The Boathouse Cottage comes with your own stretch
of waterfront. For the nature lover, loons, bald eagles, and hawks are
almost always around. Deer, rabbit, and mink abound. In the
Summer, whales are frequently sighted in front of the Cottage. And in the Fall,
harbor seals arrive to take up residence in the cove.
The Cottage is a one minute walk from the
Eagle Head wharf and the half-mile long, sand beach. Most times, you will
have the beach to yourself. There is fishing for mackerel off of the
wharf, and a free boat ramp and complimentary mooring is available.
You have always wanted to visit Nova Scotia!
Come spend some time at the Boathouse Cottage.
